Smart home doorbell features panoramic camera
At CES 2016, smanos adds a UFO WiFi Panoramic Camera and Smart Video Doorbell to its line of easy-to-install smart home security products. smanos’ UFO WiFi Panoramic Camera leverages surveillance-grade fisheye lens technology, night vision and motion detection to bring clarity, immersive vision and ease of use to home monitoring.
The smanos UFO camera can be mounted on the ceiling or a surface and provides three selectable views simultaneously: a 360º birds’ eye view, an auto-corrected 180º panoramic view and a 90º quad view. Content captured with the camera is viewable anywhere, anytime on your iPhone or Android smartphone and can be stored on-site or in the cloud. The smanos UFO WiFi Panoramic Camera will be globally available in May 2016 at an MSRP of $199.
“Our new camera maintains a sleek and discreet design that blends in well with typical home fixtures and adds a powerful security option to the existing smanos line,” said Brian Stark, General Manager of North America, smanos. “Today’s homeowners’ live versatile and mobile lifestyles, so we are constantly enhancing our portfolio to not only provide convenience, but also peace of mind that the interior and exterior of their homes are protected.”
As the latest addition to smanos’ new line of exterior home monitoring solutions, smanos’ Smart Video Doorbell captures sharp video clips of visitors, day or night, and sends real-time video and audio to the homeowner’s and their family members’ smartphones. Users can then directly communicate with those outside their home no matter where they are. Additionally, the doorbell is AC-powered, with backup batteries good for 10 weeks and features simple, DIY installation.
Available in two different faceplates – wooden or metallic – to best match each home’s unique exterior, the smanos Smart Video Doorbell will be available for purchase in the U.S. in May 2016, as part of smanos’ K1 SmartHome DIY Kit (MSRP $349).
