IBASE Technology, a manufacturer of embedded motherboards and Edge computers, rolls out the RM-N8MPL, a SMARC 2.1 module designed for industrial and embedded applications.

Powered by the NXP ARM i.MX 8M Plus QuadLite Cortex-A53 processor, the module provides robust processing capabilities and long-term supply assurance, meeting the demands of industrial IoT, smart displays, and AI-driven systems.

The RM-N8MPL features 3GB of LPDDR4 memory and 16GB eMMC flash storage, with scalability up to 128GB, ensuring fast data processing and ample storage. Its rich peripheral I/O support includes dual MIPI-CSI2 image capture interfaces, USB 3.0 ports with OTG support, high-speed SDIO, PCIe, and CAN bus, delivering extensive connectivity for versatile application needs. Suitable for use in harsh industrial environments, it operates in a range of –40°C to 85°C, with durability against shock and vibration.

With validated Yocto 4.0 and Android 11 OS support, the RM-N8MPL ensures seamless development and integration, enabling high flexibility in software design. It also includes advanced display outputs such as HDMI, LVDS, and MIPI-DSI with up to 1,920 x 1,080 resolution at 60Hz. Graphics are powered by the GC7000UL GPU, supporting OpenGL ES, OpenCL, and Vulkan standards.
