Circuit invention makes IoT possible for all electronics manufacturers
Greg Waite, CEO for InventionShare, has announced that InventionShare’s latest Circuit Seed family of inventions will now allow all manufacturers of electronics to develop IoT devices more quickly and efficiently and at a much lower cost. In addition, the size and power requirements of the devices will be reduced, providing significant opportunities for electronics manufacturers to capitalise on the emerging IoT market.
Mr. Waite said that IoT continues to grow at a rapid rate; by 2017 a projected 90m people will live in smart homes and by 2020 there will be 50bn connected devices. This means that electronic manufacturers must start to consider how to make products for this 'devices everywhere' market and that is where the Circuit Seed family of circuits comes in.
Mr. Waite said: “We have a game changer with Circuit Seed. Instead of designing low power analogue circuits that barely work and have limited range, you could be using Circuit Seed, a simpler design with fewer limitations, better performance, higher stability and greater dynamic range. It will also reduce the time and cost to design, test, manufacture and support low power devices.”
Circuit Seed circuits will operate down to less than 0.1V using a 100% digital process. The circuit designs are much simpler and do not require matched pairs or current mirrors and will function on 40nm or smaller ICs. The overall circuits are also extremely insensitive to parametric changes making precision designs without precision parts a reality. These circuits also run at logic speed and are self-biasing. They generally work over a large frequency range, with high sensitivity and accuracy. Each benefit of the circuit design is not a trade off against other benefits but additive, in that you get all of the benefits all of the time. This makes the Circuit Seed circuit designs unique.
Mr. Waite added: “Companies in all areas of electronic manufacturing in the IoT market should be extremely interested in Circuit Seed as it can help companies reduce the size in all devices.”
InventionShare is now looking for companies that are currently using traditional analogue design processes and looking to for a better design, lower cost process for analogue circuits.
