AWS IoT competency for platform providers
IoT company Haltian Oy has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) IoT Competency status. AWS IoT competency means deep domain expertise and solutions built on AWS from edge to cloud. It proves that Haltian Thingsee IoT platform complies to AWS requirements for security, architecture and end-to-end optimisation.
Achieving the AWS IoT Competency differentiates Haltian as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member that has demonstrated relevant technical proficiency and proven customer success, delivering solutions seamlessly in the AWS Cloud environment. To achieve the accreditation Haltian went through a validation process with AWS which included a review of the Thingsee IoT platform, a review of few selected customer cases and technical validation for all layers of the Thingsee platform; manufacturing, devices, provisioning, connectivity, cloud services, APIs and applications.
Haltian has used AWS serverless design since 2016. As a member of the AWS Partner Network (APN) Haltian is able to offer advanced cloud and cyber-security technologies with in-depth knowledge and support for the most demanding tech challenges.
Attaining an AWSIoT Competency allows partners to differentiate themselves to customers by showcasing expertise in a specific solution area. There are five different kinds of IoT Competency Partnerships of which Haltian has the Competency for Platform Providers as Thingsee is a complete end-to-end IoT platform for data collection where edge, gateways, sensors and connectivity are a part of the highly integrated IoT platform.
Thingsee aims to be a one-stop-shop for IoT solutions. For enterprises, which build their IoT businesses on the Thingsee IoT platform, this means that they get purpose-built IoT devices, a complete device management Cloud, and a full customisation service for an optimal business case from Haltian. Using AWS Haltian is able to easily deploy and manage the Thingsee IoT platform for enterprises, and ensures that it is compliant with Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud and many other ecosystems.
Haltian Thingsee platform is deployed by many prominent companies, such as software and services company, Tieto, in Smart Buildings; Finland’s transmission system operator, Fingrid, in Smart Production; Lindström Group in Smart Washrooms; and Finnish postal service Posti.
AWS Greengrass Edge computing enables Thingsee IoT solution to run on private networks as well. Thingsee sensor devices use Wirepas IoT Mesh networking to transmit data to the local Thingsee Gateway device, which then relays it to the Thingsee Edge on-site solution based on AWS Greengrass Edge Computing. The Private LTE technology complements the solution with flexible and secure wireless connectivity, and ensures 5G-readiness through NB-IoT and LTE Cat M1 connectivity protocols.
