Avnet Silica to present smart city applications at electronica

According to Avnet Silica, smart city solutions are shaping the buildings and homes of the future, to make our cities smarter, greener, and more secure. A variety of use cases will be presented, including EV charging, air quality monitoring, waste control, smart grid and energy management, E-mobility, and vehicle and traffic analytics.

Six virtual demo stations will showcase the technologies, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, advanced analogue, industrial communications, power, and wireless communications, as well as specific solutions such as IoT, security, embedded, software and eUICC.

Avnet Silica will also demonstrate one of the world’s first full Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC implementations on an industrial i.MX8 platform. This is replacing x86-based platforms, saving energy and cost with full x86 API32 application compatibility.
