Wi-Fi FEM includes integrated power coupler
The Qorvo QM42639 is an integrated mobile Wi-Fi front-end module (FEM) designed for Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) systems.
It is in stock at authorised distributor DigiKey.
The small form factor and integrated matching minimize the layout area in the application.
Performance is focused on optimizing the PA for a broad range of supply voltages (3.0 V < VCC < 5.0 V).
The multiple Wi-Fi and BT TX modes enable the optimization of output power, linearity, and power dissipation, which conserves power consumption while maintaining the highest linear output power and leading edge throughput.
The receive path matches the optimal technologies to maximize Rx sensitivity through consistent noise figure performance over a wider variety of conditions.
Integrated die level filtering for 2nd and 3rd harmonics and 5 GHz rejection for DBDC operation are included.
An integrated power coupler enables closed-loop power control and DPD optimization.
The QM42639 integrates a multi-TX state 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi power amplifier (PA) that is also used for HP BT, single pole four throw (SP4T) ANT switch, bypassable low noise amplifier (LNA) with multiple RX states, and power coupler into a single device.
Features include:
- 29 dB Tx gain (TXH)
- 1.8 dB noise figure
- 17 dB Rx gain (high gain), 16 dB RX gain (low current), and 1.8 dB bypass loss multiple Wi-Fi TX and BT TX states for the most efficient operation
- Integrated power coupler
The device is optimized for a broad range of operating voltages for mobile applications.
Applications cover mobile phones, tablets, VR/AR goggles and Wi-Fi routers.
