RF/microwave product portfolio on display at IMS
ETL Systems has announced that it will showcase three of the latest products from its components range at this year’s International Microwave Symposium. Amongst other current offerings, the company will demonstrate a RF-over-Fibre standalone module, an outdoor amplifier, a signal splitter/combiner and a matrix/routing module.
The StingRay RF over Fibre standalone module is a compact unit which provides single inter-facility links without the need of a chassis, making it suitable for fixed feeds where remote control is not required. LNB voltage and gain mode can be controlled manually via a switch on the module, and input signal levels can be monitored via a -20dB monitor port.
ETL’s OutDoor Unit (ODU) Amplifier, which has already been utilised by BAE Systems Australia to increase gain within its system due to signal level problems on a flyaway system, features an IP65-rated weather enclosure, as well as offering a 1dB gain compression point for high power applications and a low noise figure for optimum signal quality.
Also due to be demonstrated is the ODU Ku-band Passive Splitter/Combiner, which can be placed outdoors as a standalone unit without requiring any other weatherproof chassis. This two-way Ku-band splitter/combiner has DC pass on all ports and a high temperature range. ETL Systems’ splitters/combiners have already proven popular, with products provided to 37 sites throughout Taiwan by ETL’s partner ST Electronics for military use, as well as splitting RF feeds for Intelsat’s service provision for Korea and Asia-Pacific.
ETL’s rack mountable 32x32 Enigma L-band Switch Matrix / Router will also be on display, alongside the components range.
Susan Sadaat, Vice President of North American Sales and Operations, ETL, will represent the company at IMS, which takes place from 17th to 22nd May, to demonstrate the range of products and highlight ETL’s quarter of a century of experience in designing award-winning RF equipment.
