Raltron RDM series of MIMO antennas
Raltron Electronics announces the release of its new RDM Series of MIMO antennas.
Designed for a wide range of applications including Industrial IoT, transportation, and communication systems, these antennas meet the increasing demand for multi-frequency solutions that offer enhanced performance, efficiency, and durability in challenging environments.
The RDM Series MIMO antennas support a wide range of frequencies from 690MHz to 5.85GHz, including LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, GNSS, LoRa and more. The series includes antennas with features such as IP67 waterproof ratings, and MineProx proximity detection system for use in underground mines, ensuring they are built to withstand harsh environmental conditions.
The RDM Series antennas features increased data capacity by enabling the transmission of multiple independent data streams simultaneously over the same frequency channel, gaining attention for its ability to provide multiple frequency allocations in a single radome. A 4x4 MIMO system can potentially transmit four times as much data as a single-antenna system within the same channel bandwidth. One of the RDM Series antennas was developed to support GNSS for satellite location, LTE for communication, Wi-Fi for data sharing and LoRa for emergency situations – all in one unit. This versatility makes these antennas ideal for industries such as utility metering, logistics, transportation, mining and others.
"Our new RDM Series MIMO antennas are well-suited for applications that require high performance in rugged conditions," said Lawson Williams, Antenna Product Manager at Raltron. “Raltron antenna optimisation services are tailored to the customer’s application, which improves overall efficiency, reduces noise, and maximises performance. We work closely with our clients to ensure the antennas we deliver are perfectly suited to their systems."
The RDM Series MIMO antennas are available through Raltron’s global distribution network. Inquiries regarding customisation or optimisation for specific applications can be directed to Raltron’s engineering team.
