IQD - SMD OCXO delivers high stability combined with low phase noise
IQD have unveiled their new IQOV-90 series high stability low phase noise OCXO. Designed and manufactured in Germany at their IQD FOQ GmbH facility, the new OCXO offers a range of outputs and supply voltages across a frequency range of 10 to 40MHz.
-98dBc/Hz@1Hz and -152dBc/Hz@1kHz with a noise floor of less than -157dBc/Hz. Using a high performance SC-Cut crystal, ageing behaviour of less than ±50ppb per year and short term stability of <5x10-11@1s can be achieved based on a 10MHz, 12V, sinewave output device.
With an optimised control and heating circuit design, the IQOV-90 delivers a temperature stability of better than ±5ppb over the -20 to 70 degrees C operating temperature range.
Housed in a 25.4 x 22.0mm package with a height of only 12.3mm, the new design satisfies applications where space and height is limited. Based on a FR4-PCB with a metal lid and delivered in package quantities of 75pcs per reel the IQOV-90 is suitable for fully automatic SMD production.
As standard these parts are available with supply voltages of 12V, 5.0V or 3.3V and sinewave or HCMOS output compatibility making them suitable for a wide range of applications including base stations, repeater stations, instrumentation, medical and measurement equipment. Due to the flexible nature of the design, alternative supply voltages and output compatibilities to suit almost any application can also be readily developed to meet individual customer requirements.
The IQOV-90 series can also be specified with a frequency adjustment option and additionally, a reference voltage output where required. As a further option, an oven alarm output is available which indicates when the OCXO is at a stable working condition after warm up.
