IDT Enables Industry’s Lowest Phase Noise VCO And Fractional Output Divider
Integrated Device Technology announce two breakthrough technologies enabling the industry’s lowest phase noise voltage-controlled oscillator and fractional output divider. IDT’s latest technologies reinforce the company’s leadership in timing by empowering customers to solve phase noise-related challenges in high-performance communication and networking applications.
IDTIn addition, IDT has developed an innovative fractional output divider circuit capable of generating any output frequency independent of the PLL’s operating frequency with less than 0.7 picoseconds of integrated RMS phase jitter over the standard 12 kHz to 20 MHz integration range. The ultra-low phase noise fractional output divider enables customers to generate multiple independent frequencies from a single PLL for use in noise-sensitive communications applications.
“As the worldwide leader in timing solutions, we’re excited announce these latest advancements is low-noise clocking technology,” said Christian Kermarrec, vice president and general manager of the Timing and Synchronization Division at IDT. “IDT has the innovative technology to solve the most difficult phase noise-related problems facing our customers today, such as in radio card data converter clocks, and optical transport network line-side reference clocks. A sub-50 fs phase jitter VCO and sub-ps phase jitter divider empower our customers to develop higher-performance systems with fewer resources devoted to error correction. We look forward to bringing these products to market over the upcoming months.”
