Holtek introduce new sub-1GHz RF encoder transmitters
Holtek have announced its new Sub-1GHz RF encoder transmitters, with part numbers HT6P235A, HT6P245A, HT6P237A and HT6P247A. The HT6P235A/HT6P237A device pair have an encoding format that is fully compatible with the predecessor device, the HT6P20B, and for which no changes are required to the receiver program if used as upgraded devices. The HT6P245A/HT6P247A device pair have an address bit range which are increased to 24 bits for enhanced security purposes.
This series of products with their low power consumption, high functional integration and robust RF performance characteristics, will see widespread use in low-power wireless applications, such as in the automotive area, home security products, wide ranging remote control switch applications, household automation etc.
The HT6P235A and HT6P245A will be used for 433.92MHz transmission frequency operation, while the HT6P237A and HT6P247A will be used for the 300M~450MHz band transmission frequency operation. All devices support ASK/OOK modulation formats, which are compatible with existing wireless radio terminal equipment. With regard to hardware, the devices provide an increase of 1 to 2 key combination pins to meet the requirements of multi-switch operation control, include 8 code bit width selections and three-stage transmit power options with a maximum transmission power of 15dBm.
The HT6P235A and HT6P245A both include a fully integrated high precision oscillator and therefore do not require the addition of an external crystal for frequency transmission implementation. These new encoders are all packaged in 16-pin NSOP package types. Having the advantages of small size they offer easy implementation of RF encoder/transmitter functions which require a very limited number of external components.
With their low-cost, small size and high performance, these new encoders offer an excellent choice for a huge range of wireless products. Holtek also provides wireless transmitter layout guides and reference design information to enable product designers to achieve quick and efficient wireless product application development.
