Coaxial termination ensures secure mechanical attachment
A medium-power coaxial termination, suitable for use in HF and VHF systems in demanding environments, has been released by Link Microtek. The AMCOL-1-T, which absorbs RF signals in the frequency range of 10-100MHz, is fitted with a TNC male connector incorporating a coarse-ribbed M27-threaded collar to ensure secure mechanical attachment.
Features of the 50Ω coaxial termination include a power-handling capability of 25W CW, a maximum VSWR of 1.2:1 and an operating temperature range of -40 to 70°C. To ensure optimum thermal dissipation, the 125x40mm termination is also equipped with an anodised aluminium heatsink.
For applications where a non-standard product is required, Link is able to design and supply bespoke terminations. Customer specifications with regard to performance, materials, dimensions and connector can be met.
