Bomar Interconnect Products announce the expansion of their proprietary E-Snap Series of edgeboard RF connectors to include the vertical or horizontal mount BNC E-Snap. Developed for employment with video, broadcast and test equipment applications, Bomar's 75-ohm BNC E-Snap connectors are the latest addition to the E-Snap Series, which is comprised of SMA, SMB, SMC, MCX and low-profile MCX LP edgeboard RF connectors and now, BNC.
The new edge mount, vertical style offers complete flexibility in design and layout. The miniature, lightweight series' unique construction notably promotes exceptional board retention and RF performance without the use of adhesives. Parts are engineered with small protrusions within their slots to allow devices to snap firmly into solder-pasted holes as they are slid onto the PC board. This ability to lock securely in place for re-flow soldering significantly minimizes strain on the solder joint to provide the industry's most durable mount to the PC board. In specifying the new BNC E-Snap, EOEMs are able to maximize throughput and cost efficiencies by eliminating the time and expense associated with applying an adhesive, whereas designers are afforded unsurpassed flexibility due to part's capability to be mounted vertically or horizontally.

Bomar's newest BNC coax connector is intended for use in a wide array of applications and is ideally suited for dense packaging arrangements where mechanical strength , high durability, high reliability and low VSWR are required. Devices accommodate a large variety of RG and industry .062 standard PC boards and other thicknesses upon request.

The E-Snap Series meets or exceeds all industry mechanical, electrical and environmental standards, and boasts a straight-through contact design (except vertical types). To further ensure the utmost in reliability, connectors feature gold-plated contacts. The 75-ohm series provides repeatable performance to 4 GHz standard. Parts are supplied in male or female versions, and offered in a range of standard and custom-plating alternatives.
