Zytronic to present at Society for Information Display (SID) UK Event
Zytronic, the developer and manufacturer of PCT-based touch sensor products, is pleased to announce its participation at the forthcoming ‘Power-Saving and Touch Panel Technologies for Displays’ event which takes place at Sharp Laboratories of Europe’s offices in Oxford. Gregg Brown, sales engineer, will present the features and benefits of Zytronic’s patented PCT at 12 noon on 27th January.
The A mini exhibition spanning both days will also be open to delegates. Zytronic’s PCT touch sensor products are designed and manufactured at the company’s state-of-the art facilities in Blaydon, Tyne and Wear and address the increasing demand for high-performance, cost effective and durable touch-based solutions. Brown’s presentation will explain in detail the construction of PCT, how it works and how it delivers significant advantages over other touchscreen technologies, such as resistive, surface acoustic wave, and infrared. Referring to some of Zytronic’s high-profile projects, delegates will be able to learn more about how the drift-free properties and design flexibility of PCT have enabled the development of leading-edge touchscreen-based applications – ranging from vending machines and industrial controls, to interactive digital signage, self-service kiosks and public information systems – with much higher levels of accuracy and unrivalled durability for use in the harshest of indoor and outdoor environments.
Looking further ahead, details of some significant technological advances in Zytronic’s touch controller design will also be discussed. With proliferation of touchscreen technology becoming increasingly widespread in everyday life, the associated touch controller must be able to support a whole host of new features to enable the development of more compelling user interfaces. Brown will explain how advanced controller technology will enable PCT touchscreens to have faster response times and a greater degree of accuracy, as well as supporting complex multi-touch functionality.
