Wide aspect ratio display features HD resolution and IPS technology
The introduction of a new 12.3” Rugged+ TFT display has been announced by KOE. The TX31D203VM0EAB display module features a resolution of 1,920x720px, a 8:3 wide aspect ratio, extended operating temperature range and IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology which provides high image quality when viewed at any viewing angle.
The 12.3” display features a contrast ratio of 1300:1 and a white LED backlight, which is dimmable from 100% to 5% with PWM control, provides a brightness rating of 1,000cd/m². These features ensure that display images are bright, colourful and concise.
Suitable for use in HMI and digital signage applications, strong optical performance is guaranteed with IPS technology delivering colour saturation and image stability, high contrast and deep black levels with 176° wide viewing angles (vertical and horizontal).
The 50-pin LVDS interface supports 8-bit RGB and provides a colour palette of up to 16.7m colours. The 12.3” display also feature KOE's enhanced Appearance specification which now specifies zero bright dot defects.
Jason Tsai, Marketing Manager, KOE, said: "Implementing IPS technology, the new 12.3” display delivers excellent optical performance with highly consistent colour reproduction and wide viewing angles. New product designs and applications are a possibility due to the wide aspect ratio of the 12.3” module and the 720p HD resolution."
Featuring a fully enclosed metal bezel with integrated mounting fixtures, the display module has outline dimensions of 333.1x150.5x20.6mm and an active display area of 292.0x109.5mm. Suited for harsh and rugged environments the Rugged+ module is also highly resistant to electro-static discharge, mechanical shock and vibration. The 12.3” module features an operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C and a storage temperature range of -40 to 90°C.
The Rugged+ 12.3” display is designed specifically for use in high reliability industrial, medical, marine, process control and aerospace applications where consistent and reliable operation are essential.
