The Austin Hughes Ultraview LCD family consists of 3 ranges, the OP open frame series, the DP series with a black aluminium box style cover and the AP series with a black aluminium front bezel. They include aspect ratios of both 4:3 and 16:9. The 4:3 units range in size from 6.4 to 20 and the 16:9 widescreen units from 17 to 40 in size. All 4:3 aspect ratio units can be specified with an optional touch screen capability, user-selectable between resistive, capacitive or tough-touch technology to suit the intended operating environment.

The displays have uses across a wide range of applications such as industrial process control, point of sale units, kiosks, security and surveillance systems and public information displays. For external use, versions sealed to IP65 / NEMA 4 are available; a further range, available in 15 to 19 standard and wide screen formats is specifically designed to be readable in bright sunlight.

The displays have VESA mounts, bracket mounts and panel mounting facilities for maximum versatility; they are powered from 110 or 220VAC or 12, 24 and 48VDC. An OSD provides auto-tune capability and easy user configuration of brightness, contrast, phase, clock frequency and picture horizontal and vertical positioning. The control interface is enabled via either a USB or serial port, and, depending on the particular model, the displays have composite and S-Video input, BNC / DVI-D digital input or TV signal input with audio line out.
