New 8.4”, 10.4” and 12.1” Color TFT-LCD Modules for Industrial Use by Mitsubishi Electric

Mitsubishi Electric is introducing new 8.4” SVGA (AA084SC01), 10.4” SVGA (AA104SJ02) and 12.1” SVGA (AA121ST01) color TFT-LCD modules with LVDS interface for industrial use. The new modules feature super wide viewing technology as well as a top level wide operating temperature of -30 to 80 degrees Celsius and a longlife LED backlight making them suitable for use in rugged outdoor environments. These new industrial modules will be presented at Embedded World 2012 held in Nuremberg, Germany from February 28th to March 1st 2012.

The new TFT-LCD modules contain super wide viewing technology of 170 degrees horizontal and vertical which ensures excellent visibility from all directions. They have a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a brightness of 600cd/m2 for excellent viewing in bright environments as well as a color gamut of 72% on NTSC standards.

The TFT modules with market leading long-life LED backlight performance are equipped with a circuit board-embedded LED driver achieving a more compact system design and a better cost effectiveness in customer’s applications. At 25 degrees Celsius, LED backlights have an operating life time of at least 100,000 hours (until half brightness).

The TFT-LCD modules meet the increasing market demands for high brightness, high contrast, wide-ranging operational temperatures and wide viewing angles for diverse applications and installations. The introduction of the three new modules increases Mitsubishi Electric’s lineup of super-wide viewing angle models to nine items.

The new TFT-LCD modules are RoHS conform.
