Ams OSRAM SYNIOS S 2222 Gen 2 is for use in industry applications where corrosion resistance, performance, or compact space are important.

The small, square package size offers maximum design freedom compared to the current standard LEDs on the market without compromising performance, especially where space is limited.

The long-term availability (7 years plus) of the family enables designs to last longer. The product family offers an excellent balance between performance, cost, reliability, and lifetime.

The square package with just a 2 mm outline combines the best performance with a small footprint for environments where enhanced corrosion robustness is required.

A chip in the centre of the housing allows easy integration into optical systems. The availability of all main colours and white points offers high flexibility in various application areas.

Features include a small QFN package with silicon resin - 2.2 mm x 2.2 mm x 0.6 mm (L x W x H), a variety of available colours, and enhanced NiPdAg lead frame with SiO2 and TiO2 coating.

Applications cover access control and security, ambient lighting, appliances and tools, entertainment, factory automation, home and building automation, indoor lighting, material processing, projection and display, robotics, and transportation.

The devices are in stock at authorised distributor DigiKey.
