Kyocera 17.8cm ( 7“) TFT with optimized readability for difficult lighting conditions

With its very compact dimensions – especially considering the optical performance – of only 165 × 104.4 × 8.2 mm the TFT can also be easily integrated into applications with space restrictions, e.g. mobile terminals. The particularly efficient LED-Backlight with a typical power consumption of only 2.16W has also got an outstanding long lifetime of 70.000h (until half brightness).

As a special option, Kyocera is offering an integrated touchpanel using glass-glass-technology („Inner Touch”) where the TFT polarizer is located on the outside of the touchpanel. This special design reduces the reflections between the top side of the display and the underside of the touchpanel considerably. This results in improved readability especially in bright light conditions.
