JAOtech to launch new Smart Terminal range at Medica
JAOtech is to unveil its new look 2010 range of hospital bedside terminals at Medica in Dusseldorf, in November 2009. The JAOtech stand (Hall 15, E27) will feature the company’s full line-up, as well as its ergonomics range of products and pioneering wireless medical keyboard. The 2010 Obie, Jima and Zivo terminals benefit from the latest high performance, low power Intel Atom processors as well as a considerable weight reduction due to an aluminium chassis. Also included are a wealth of additional features and an updated stylish yet practical design.
ConsThe Zivo, Jima and Obie retain their original screen sizes of 15”, 15.4” widescreen and 17” respectively. Also featuring on the stand will be the award nominated 18.5” Arie – JAOtech’s flagship patient entertainment terminal as well as the 8.4” Iden, suitable for hospital waiting rooms and other interactive signage applications in the healthcare environment. Peripheral options on all terminals include a VoIP phone, Bluetooth™, WLAN, a high resolution camera, finger print reader, as well as access control and billing support based on Smart Card, magnetic card, RFID and bar-code technology.
JAOtech will also be exhibiting its groundbreaking Wyki wireless medical keyboards. Hospital based keyboards can harbour strains of harmful bacteria such as MRSA and E coli and pose a significant cross-contamination risk. JAOtech’s Wyki keyboard has been specifically designed to minimise this risk, with an all-in-one easy wipe design and a Smart Disinfect™ feature allowing staff to define periods within which a keyboard must be sterilised. On show will be the new backlit models as well as French and German keyboard layouts.
