JAOtech launches the world’s first Smart high definition LED TV for healthcare at Medica
JAOtech is to unveil the world’s first range of large screen ultra-thin medical LED TVs with an in-built embedded computer, aimed specifically at healthcare applications such as patient entertainment and clinical access. The Onix range, in 32” and 40” sizes, will be launched at Medica in Dusseldorf (17-20 November) Hall 15, Stand E18. JAOtech is also introducing a host of other products in its Arcos range, such as a multimedia wall box and a bedside cabinet mounting solution.
The JAOtech is the market leader in patient bedside embedded Smart Terminals and has installed 40,000 worldwide. It recently won a further contract to renew up to 40,000 terminals in UK NHS hospitals.
JAOtech will also present at Medica new additions to the range of Smart Terminal accessories including the Arcos 8250 multimedia wall box. The unit provides wireless LAN and Ethernet connections, allowing patients and hospital staff to use their own laptops on the ward alongside the terminals. In addition games consoles can be connected. The USB and SD card ports mean users can load personal music and photo files for viewing or listening on the terminals without the security risk of plugging straight into the terminal.
A new range of bedside cabinet mounted arms are also being introduced. The Arcos 9000/9100 range is designed for projects where ceiling or wall mounted arms cannot be installed or a degree of flexibility is required for terminal positioning. The new arms are fitted to a bedside cabinet that can be easily wheeled around the bedside. The arms, designed exclusively for use with JAOtech terminals, are available in various options including a 300mm extension version.
