While the most common aspect ratios for TFT displays are 4:3 or 16:9, certain applications require a more elongated display format. The new bar-type display provides a better solution for these scenarios, such as those where height is limited. It is especially suited for machine control panels, factory automation, audio equipment, industrial and scientific instruments, medical devices, server and security systems, and domestic appliances like dishwashers, extractor hoods, and electronic hobs.

Advanced features for high performance

The Powertip 3.9-inch Bar-Type display is a Transmissive LCD touch screen that uses OCA bonding technology, ensuring a full viewing angle and presenting an unlit black background color. It features an RGB-Strip interface with a resolution of 480*3 (RGB) x 128 dots. Powered by a Drive IC (ST7282A-G6-E4S) and utilizing an I2C output interface, this display is built to perform reliably in a range of environments, with an operating temperature range from -20°C to +70°C and brightness of 550 cd/m². It also offers a mean time between failures (MTBF) of up to 50,000 hours at 25°C (IF = 200mA), making it a durable and efficient choice for various industrial and consumer applications.
