A 25″ display that features a QHD resolution of 2560x1440px has been introduced by AOC. The Q2577PWQ, which is particularly suitable for photographers and designers, is offered with an IPS panel for ultra-wide viewing angles both vertically and horizontally.

Featuring a short response time of just 5ms, the display reduces ghosting effects. The need for separate speaker boxes is also eliminated by the built-in 3W stereo speakers. The Quad HD panel ensures that users can experience a full view of a website at a single glance without image distortion; a contrast to current Full HD displays which only realise three-quarters of a full screen.

The Q2577PWQ features an IPS panel, which provides high accuracy in colour and contrast as well as wide viewing angles. The panel also provides uniform luminance. Offering outstanding picture reproduction, IPS panels are particularly suitable for photography, graphics design, movie production and CAD/CAM engineering.

AOC’s display is also offered with a feature that ensures a zero-flickering viewing experience. Flickering is a flashing effect that takes place when the LED backlight controller of a monitor adjusts the brightness levels during display refreshing. This can affect the eyes and cause eye fatigue without the viewer even noticing.

To ensure a healthier back and neck, the Q2577PWQ is offered with a wide range of features that help to reduce fatigue and improve the working posture. These features include height adjustability of 130mm, and pivot, swivel and tilt functions. In addition, the monitor can be fixed on VESA compliant wall mounts and racks.

For flexibility, the display features a number of I/O inputs, including DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI and VGA. The Q2577PWQ is also equipped with energy saving features such as Eco Mode and e-Saver and fulfils strict regulations such as EnergyStar 6.0 and TCO 6.0.

The Q2577PWQ will be available in June 2015 and priced at £329.
