Devlin's keyboard suits industrial control

Devlin has designed a keyboard which is ideally suited to tough industrial environments but does not compromise on users’ ability to work as they would on a standard desktop keyboard. The KFM-106TP benefits from a full PC layout including function keys and a numeric pad, along with an integrated trackball. The combination of an embossed membrane and short travel keyswitches minimise the risk of damage to the keyboard whilst still providing a positive tactile typing “feel” to users. The KFM-106TP is sealed to IP65 and NEMA4 when correctly fitted in a panel mounted position or in a sealed enclosure.
Another key feature to highlight in the KFM-106TP is the high quality component parts used which ensure excellent durability and product longevity. Each key has an estimated life of one million operations; the trackball also boasts a similarly extended life. The KFM-106TP is also highly suited to areas of extreme temperature, able to operate between 0 and 50°C. The KFM-106TP utilises a high quality membrane which is impervious to petrol, hydraulic fluid and other similar chemicals found in industrial environments. The quality of the membrane is an important point to stress as many similar keyboards do not offer the same level of protection against chemical damage.

As you would expect from Devlin their custom keyboard expertise mean that both foreign language and custom legend variants are available without significant cost implication.

“If you are working in a challenging environment then this is the ideal keyboard for you. It’s rugged enough to survive even the toughest of conditions but it does not compromise on functionality.” commented Martin Baker, Devlin Electronics managing director.
