Green Hills Software has announced the next generation of GHNet, the Green Hills Software flagship TCP/IP networking software suite. GHNet is based on a field-proven dual-mode IPv4/IPv6 stack that is certified “IPv6 Ready” by Phase-2 of the IPv6 Ready Logo Program and has been through the rigors of TAHI, Moonv6 and IxANVL testing, providing additional product validation and completeness.
GHNet is fully integrated with the complete line of Green Hills Software’s real-time operating systems: µ-velOSity, velOSity, INTEGRITY and INTEGRITY-178B. In addition to supporting IPv6 in the foundational IP networking protocols such as DHCP, FTP, and Mobile IP, the GHNet ecosystem includes integrations with leading control plane routing suites, SSL, SSH, SNMP, wireless networking, and much more. The new GHNet suite is targeted at a wide range of networking devices, including access, edge, SOHO, and backbone. In addition, industries such as medical, consumer electronics, industrial control, automotive, and aerospace are becoming increasingly network connected, requiring the robust and highly performing IPv4/v6 stack that GHNet delivers.

“We have continued to invest heavily in networking software as a core offering for our operating systems, fully integrated, validated and maintained by Green Hills Software,” commented Dr. Michael Santos, director of engineering at Green Hills Software. “This latest release of GHNet represents the state of the art in highly performing and ultra reliable IPv6 networking software that our customers can depend on for their current and future electronic products.”

The latest version of GHNet incorporates technology that has been proven in use for many years, shipping in tens of millions of devices. The technology has been used to provide connectivity for some of the world’s most important and ubiquitous devices, including printers, routers, and medical information systems.
