Product lifecycle management (PLM) software expert, Design Rule, witnessed an increasing demand for high performance 3D viewing solutions in the product design sector. Seeking an application capable of managing both large and complex CAD data, Design Rule started working with KISTERS. Shortly after, Design Rule became authorised as distributors of KISTERS’ 3DViewStation in the United Kingdom.

Designed for 3D CAD analysis, 3D viewing, technical documentation and 3D publishing, the KISTERS 3DViewStation is intended for use by engineers, designers and other downstream consumers of 3D data. Its primary function is to provide immediate visualisation and analysis of large 3D CAD models, much faster than any alternatives on the market. For designers, the software allows quick pre-viewing assemblies, enabling the user to find the part they are looking for, without having to open and navigate unwieldy native-format assembly data.

Since its introduction to the UK market, the software has generated a high level of demand. For Design Rule, the only UK distributor of the software, the feedback from customers has been overwhelmingly positive.

Design Rule and KISTERS provide 3DViewStation integration into ENOVIA SmarTeam. This allows SmarTeam users the option to work with a new generation CAD viewer, providing faster review of large 3D CAD data and supporting the latest releases of all major CAD systems including CATIA V5 and SolidWorks.
