Platform offers programming speeds of up to 80MB/s
Optimised for the latest generation of eMMC devices and large file sizes, the LumenX programming platform has been introduced by Data I/O. The programmer is claimed to deliver the highest performance managed and secured programming for the lowest total cost per part. The LumenX programming platform is available in the PSV7000 automated system and manual configurations.
The platform delivers ultra-fast performance with programming speeds up to 80MB/s and download speeds of 25 MBytes/s, which is up to five times faster than today’s programming and duplicating technology. The LumenX programmer offers outstanding management and security capabilities, while eliminating the security risks associated with the duplication process. The LumenX data management software suite ensures data integrity from job creation through production. A comprehensive suite of traceability software applications along with fibre laser marking and 3D co-planarity component inspection meets the demanding process requirements for automotive electronics applications.
Designed to maximise socket capacity and reduce the cost of programming, the LumenX programmer supports eight sockets per programmer with up to 14 LumenX programmers in the PSV7000 for the highest programming density available. The PSV7000 supports both FlashCORE III and LumenX programmers concurrently installed. Current customers with PSV7000 systems have their investments protected as they can upgrade their systems to add LumenX programmers alongside their current technology. The combination of ultra-fast read/write and download speeds, high socket capacity and high throughput allows manufacturers using one PSV7000 with LumenX programmers to program what previously required multiple systems to produce.
The LumenX programming platform supports the latest eMMC 4.41 to 5.1 devices and has been evaluated by and received industry support and acclaim from all of the leading eMMC semiconductor manufacturers. Data I/O works closely with each semiconductor manufacturer including Cypress Semiconductor, Micron, SK hynix, and Toshiba to ensure all algorithms are developed and tested to meet their individual product specifications.
“Automotive infotainment and wireless applications require tens of GigaBytes of data programmed during manufacturing with file sizes growing rapidly. Current programming methods are unable to keep up with increased demand. These customers require a fast, managed and secure solution delivering highest quality programming to support their production now and in the future” said Anthony Ambrose, President and CEO, Data I/O. “The LumenX programming architecture easily keeps up with changing device technology and growing file sizes. In combination with the PSV7000 automated system, LumenX programmers deliver revolutionary performance, best in class security and unrivalled value."
