PHY IP Platform completes PCI-SIG testing
After successfully completing the testing of the PCI-SIG, Semtech's PCI Express 3.0 PHY IP is now on the PCIe 3.0 Integrators List. The integrators list maintains the gold standard by which companies developing PCI products make IP purchasing decisions.
The PCI-SIG Compliance Workshop testing included electrical, configuration and protocol testing against the PCI-SIG PCIe 3.0 golden test suites, as well as interoperability testing with PCIe 3.0 products available in the market today. The PCI Express 3.0 PHY IP, part of the Snowbush IP platform, passed all the golden test suites, which included electrical testing of the PHY’s receiver operation and jitter tolerance, transmit equalization procedure, transmit de-emphasis and PLL loop bandwidth testing. Additionally, the Snowbush IP achieved a 100% pass rate on the interoperability testing portion of the workshop.
“We’re pleased Semtech’s Snowbush PHY IP has passed PCIe 3.0 compliance testing,” commented Al Yanes, PCI-SIG President and Chairman. “As a member of the PCI-SIG and a silicon IP supplier, Semtech produces PCIe 3.0-compliant products that help ensure the continued success of the PCIe 3.0 specification.”
"Performing the tests necessary to be included on the PCI-SIG Integrators List is another step in our long and continued support of the PCI Express 3.0 specification," added Kevin Walsh, Worldwide Marketing Director, Snowbush IP. "Semtech continues to work with its leading customers to provide a robust and proven silicon PHY that they can confidently put into their products that require PCI Express 3.0 technology.”
The PCI Express PHY IP is available immediately. Pricing depends on configuration and the number of instantiations in a design.
