New board from Datasound Laboratories uses ISA BUS and customer specific part numbers to reduce Chance of Obsolescence
DSL create their own 8/16 bit ISA BUS low power board and use customer specific part numbers to defeat obsolescence
In tDesigned to be easily integrated as the processing engine of any custom embedded system, the computer has a 500MHz CPU operating at the equivalent performance of an 800MHz VIA alternative. Consuming a mere 0.8A, making active cooling unnecessary, the UK designed and manufactured product offers ample performance to support Windows XP(e) as well as other operating systems such as Linux, Windows CE or DOS and offers up to 1GB of system memory.
The built in graphics controller supports both digital TFT LCD's and standard CRT monitors with a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 while 10/100Mbps LAN provides network support. Other standard features include 4 x USB 2.0 ports, PS2 keyboard and mouse, audio, IDE, 2 x TTL serial ports, parallel port, v2.2 compliant PCI Bus and programmable watchdog timer. Fully compliant with ETX specification, the LX800 is RoHS compliant and has a standard operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
Aware that it is common practice for embedded system manufacturers to make minor board revisions and BIOS changes without pre-warning their customers, the LX800-ETX is provided with a custom part number specific to each customer's build. This ensures that exactly the same product is delivered every time.
