Powerful Nexcom Digital Signage Player complies with Open Pluggable Specification
Nexcom’s new NDiS OPS-M50 digital signage player is an Intel Core™ i5-2515E dual core based Digital Signage Player which complies with the Intel Open Pluggable Specification (OPS). The open pluggable specification (OPS) helps standardize the design and development of digital signage devices and pluggable media players and therefore offers the benefit of simplify installation, operation, upgrade and maintenance. As such, the NDiS OPS-M50 digital signage player can be plugged into a variety of display panels and will therefore find applications within a multitude of digital signage installations.
NDiSBased on COM Express architecture, NDiS OPS-M50 can easily be updated in line with the latest processor technology, thus extending the life cycle of the unit and future-proofing the investment. In addition to architectural flexibility, NDiS OPS-M50 boasts a number of other features which expands functionality and enables a wide variety of applications to be addressed. For instance, NDiS OPS-M50 is equipped with two Mini PCIe slots which facilities connection to a 3G/Wi-FI module and/or TV tuner, it therefore supports remote system management, content updates and TV broadcast. Furthermore, the Mini PCIe expansion slots are securely located underneath a screw fixed cover which protects the module against theft. The unit will support up to 4GB of RAM and is equipped a slim line 2.5 SATA SSD.
