Kanda announce re-launch of AVR Microcontroller Starter Kit

Anybody who wants to learn about microcontrollers, or develop code for them, needs a development system to write and test code. The AVR microcontroller is one of the most popular 8-bit microcontrollers for beginners and experienced engineers alike, and the most widely used kit for them has always been the STK200 Starter Kit from Kanda.com. Now Kanda.com have relaunched the STK200 kit with all new USB interfaces. Now, users get a USB JTAG Emulator and a USB In System Programmer, so it is easy to use on modern PCs. All the features that made the STK200 popular – simple setup, comprehensive but not complex development board, good software and sample code have been retained.

As well as updating the kit to the USB port, Kanda have also included a book on writing Embedded C for microcontrollers and linked the programmer and emulator into the AVR Studio Development Environment, so that projects can be written and debugged in C language.
