WITTENSTEIN High Integrity Systems and InterNiche Technologies Inc. have extended the range of solutions available under their cross distribution agreement which gives their respective customers better access to a complete range of integrated products.
The fully integrated 'CONNECT' solution contains OpenRTOS, FAT File System, USB Host and InterNiche TCP/IP networking on Cortex-M3 and is now available as a free download for evaluation. The downloads are pre-configured for rapid evaluation to give developers 'no-fuss' access to the software and allow them to evaluate the target system without the need to struggle with tools and integration. The integrated solution is available for a wide range of embedded controllers with new demos available for LPC17xx using the CodeRed Red Suite and the Rowley CrossWorks development environments.

InterNiche is the leading independent supplier of embedded protocol software with TCP/IP stacks, embedded device management software such as HTTP Server and SNMP and security modules such as IPSec and SSL.

High Integrity Systems is renowned for real time operating systems that are based on the open source kernel, FreeRTOS. Its SafeRTOS is SIL3 pre-certified for safety critical applications. Its OpenRTOS CONNECT brings USB and FAT file system functionality with full commercial support to FreeRTOS, allowing developers to create applications for free before upgrading to benefit from the supported kernel. FreeRTOS was downloaded almost 80,000 times last year.

InterNiche has offered support for all RTOSes and High Integrity Systems shares this belief in platform independence. We believe that our integration of OPENRTOS will result in the needs of developers being better served, commented InterNiche president, Larry Larder. This agreement allows us to provide a wide range of integrated solutions to those customers that prefer to use a commercial RTOS.

David Brook, High Integrity Systems' head of sales and marketing said, It's vital for embedded software developers to be able to quickly establish an environment for developing their application. By creating a simple approach to integration and evaluation, our customers can more easily and more quickly deliver innovative devices.
