Hibernate and ITTIA DB SQL Provide Embedded Java Persistence
ITTIA is expanding its database offering with support for Hibernate Java object persistence. Hibernate is popular open source object relational mapping tool for the Java platform and a new ITTIA DB Hibernate dialect provides powerful, high performance relational persistence and query options for Java applications. Developers of embedded systems and devices can now develop high-level database-driven applications easily with Hibernate and ITTIA DB SQL.
The ITTIA DB provides a JDBC driver and Hibernate dialect so that Hibernate can handle the details of mapping Java objects to database tables. The value added to Hibernate includes replication and shared access with row-level locking. Hibernate can persist Java objects directly to an ITTIA DB SQL database file on the local file system or save data remotely to an ITTIA DB SQL Server. The destination is specified in the JDBC URL configured in Hibernate.
With ITTIA DB SQL, it is easy to share Java objects efficiently between many tasks and devices. Multiple tasks can share the same database objects in real time through client/server, and disconnected devices can exchange changes to those objects through replication. Objects can even be persisted to a back-end database server using ITTIA DB Sync
ITTIA DB SQL fully supports table creation at runtime so Hibernate can manage all aspects of Java object persistence.
