Freescale releases latest CodeWarrior Development Studio for Microcontrollers based on Eclipse software framework

Freescale Semiconductor released today its CodeWarrior for Microcontrollers v10.0 Beta – a major new release of CodeWarrior Development Studio. It integrates development tools for the RS08, HCS08 and ColdFire architectures into a single product based on the Eclipse open development platform. Eclipse offers an excellent framework for building software development environments and is becoming a standard framework used by many embedded software vendors.
Product features include: Eclipse IDE 3.4; optimizing C/C ++ compilers for HCS08, RS08 and ColdFire derivatives; Processor Expert rapid application design tool that generates tested optimized C code tuned for your application needs and the selected Freescale derivative.

For a limited time, Freescale is offering free access to the Beta 3 release so customers can try out the new CodeWarrior Development Studio for Microcontrollers v10.0.
