IBASE Announces the Fanless eFlex Platform with the Latest Intel Atom Processor for Embedded Computing
IBASE Technology Inc. announces the release of the eFlex Platform – a highly compact yet expandable fanless platform for embedded computing. eFlex bridges the gap between full sized computing solutions and micronized systems with a comprehensive platform that affords maximum flexibility.
eFleThe FB800 is IBASE’s first eFlex mainboard utilizing the Intel Atom processor D2700. Packed onto its compact 190 x 110 mm form factor are three (3) industry standard MiniPCIe sized expansion slots, an Expresscard slot and a 2.5” SSD/HDD dock. There is also a standardized set of external I/O connectors affording full interchangeability amongst eFlex boards and chassis. Subsequent eFlex board offerings will inherit these attributes.
FB800 features:
-Onboard Intel Atom Processor D2700, 2.13GHz
-2 x mPCIe(x1), 1 x mSATA, 1 x Expresscard slots, 1 x 2.5” SSD/HDD dock
-DVI-I, GbE, 2 x COM, 3 x USB, Audio (Standard eFlex external I/O set)
eFlex enclosures are mechanically interchangeable between eFlex mainboards (thermal dissipation capacity permitting). They feature standardized I/O bays and plates. At launch, IBASE offers two industrial enclosure solutions – the slim line AFB100 and the double deck AFB200. The AFB100 offers a low profile (30mm) solution with one auxiliary I/O bay for additional connectors from mPCIe expansion cards. The AFB200 offers a double height configuration with three auxiliary I/O bays. An externally accessible SSD/HDD bay and 12V DC input is standard; 6~34V DC input is optional. Both enclosures also feature the unique Highly Adaptable Mounting (HAM) system configurable to 5 different mounting schemes.
eFlex systems utilize the Expresscard, mSATA and MiniPCIe expansion cards to facilitate expansion and customization. IBASE offers a comprehensive set of expansion cards, but an eFlex system can also tap the broad selection of industry standard Expresscard, mPCIe(x1) and mSATA from 3rd parties.
