Europlacer exhibits at Southern Manufacturing
Europlacer is exhibiting at the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics exhibition where it will show the hugely popular iineo+ placement machine alongside the EP710AVI stencil printer.
The legendary flexibility of Europlacer’s iineo platform is due in part to its on-machine component inventory of up to 164 x 8mm component reels, which is the largest in the industry and matched only by Europlacer’s atom platform range. As well as the iineo+ and EP710AVI printer, the company will also demonstrate its new portable and rugged tablet-based ii-Tab Mobility Solution that allows operations managers to break down production projects into manageable tasks. Visitors to Stand No. K70 can also see the new Freeform Feeder that has proved a vital addition to users of Europlacer’s placement platforms who must deal with loose and unpackaged components – a practical manufacturing challenge that has become more prevalent with recent chip shortages.
In keeping with Europlacer’s philosophy to provide complete SMT line solutions, a new x-ray system from inspection specialist Unicomp has been added to the company’s product portfolio. The Unicomp CX7000L SMD Chip Counter automatically counts surface mount components on tape reels, cut strips, tubes and waffle trays. It supports manufacturers in optimising their inventory and ensures that reels, strips, trays or sticks presented to the placement machine contain sufficient devices to complete a production run.
“The CX7000L can play a vital role in assembly line productivity,” explains UK Regional Sales Manager Elliot Loven. “With optimised surface mount assembly processes balancing the workload across all machines in a production line, stoppages due to insufficient component inventory on the placement machine can be a major factor in reduced throughput and cause a bottleneck for boards upstream. The x-ray chip counter provides valuable assurance to the operations team.”
Europlacer is on Stand K70 at the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics exhibition at the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre from 8th to 10th February 2022.
