Cross line generator suits machine vision

EVT now offers a complete solution with the cross line generator. It is available with a mini-PC with the software function to draw a cross line as an overlay into the live image. With the interfaces of the cross line generator the user can connect USB and GigE cameras to the systen. For the user a process mode can be created, which means that the user only has to click on the „start“ and „stop“ buttons to run the program and see the cross line on the live image.

The cross line is often needed to position component parts in the correct position and also to measure the position of the object. Additionally the cross line command is also available with the EyeVision software and can be used with a PC or Laptop.

There are two modes:

1. Configuration Mode, also known as Setup Mode. In this mode the user can configure their inspection program – in this case the cross line overlay.

This step can also be done by EVT. So the user never has to bother with configuring the inspection program and only can see the process mode.

2. Process Mode

The user can spread the process mode across the whole monitor. The background image with the EVT logo can be changed into a custom image and logo.

The system starts automatically and shows the live image with the overlay. The user also can have several buttons to control the process. Usually its a “Start” and a “Stop” button.

In this concrete case, EVT used a Dinolite microscope. The cross line command runs on a Laptop but of course can run on the Cross Line Generator as well.
