Compact all-in-one IoT prototyping board tests new devices and tech
A new prototyping platform has been added to Conrad’s rapidly growing range of over 5,000 development kits and accessories. The XDK 110 is a cross-domain hardware and software kit from Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions GmbH. It includes various MEMS sensors for measuring acceleration, rotation and magnetic fields, as well as humidity, pressure, temperature, acoustic and digital light.
The XDK 110 provides an effective means of creating and testing new devices and technologies for the IoT and enables a fast and easy start to mass production.
Housed in compact packaging, measuring just 60x40x22mm, the XDK 110 can easily be retrofitted to electronic devices and appliances of nearly any size. It features numerous connectivity options, including USB, Bluetooth and WLAN. This makes it easy to connect to PCs, smartphones and tablets either wirelessly or via cable. XDK functionality can also be expanded further by using the included extension board to integrate new features.
The XDK 110, launched at CES 2016 in Las Vegas, is additionally supported by an online community of developers and designers. This Bosch supported community provides an ideal location for discussion, the exchange of knowledge and help with the development of members’ own design ideas.
Shawn Silberhorn, Supplier Business Development Manager, Conrad Technology Centrum (CTC) commented: “We have for a long time been building our range of highly capable reference kits and prototyping boards. The XDK from Bosch delivers a compact solution for prototyping IoT projects, which will appeal to customers across all design and development sectors.”
Reiner Schmohl, Product Manager XDK at Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions GmbH added: “Conrad has for a long time stocked devices and technologies from the complete Bosch range. We are excited that our latest prototyping kit will join these products and become available to Conrad’s customers across the whole of Europe.”
