Helping CAD managers and users to overcome their daily design process challenges, Autodesk has announced Digital Prototyping Forum 2010, scheduled to be held at The Belfry Hotel near Birmingham on 3 November. Registration is now open (www.autodesk.co.uk/dpforum)
The forum provides users with the opportunity for intensive free training on the latest Autodesk products including Autodesk® Inventor®; Autodesk® Moldflow®; Autodesk® Algor® and Autodesk® Alias®, with invaluable tips and tricks to help attendees get the most out of using them in their day-to-day work.

“Autodesk experts will deliver insights covering everything from how to work effectively with large assemblies to how to create better drawings more quickly and common pitfalls to avoid in the design process,”

“We also aim to show attendees other solutions that they might not have considered before, or even been aware of, that might help them do their work more productively,” he adds. “The forum also provides an opportunity for delegates to meet and network with other users and to learn from their peers.

“This is a ’must-attend’ event for our customers in the manufacturing and mechanical design sectors. And we are confident that every CAD manager or user attending will come away feeling it was time well spent.”

The event will feature an in-depth product session for all delegates in the morning explaining a complete digital design workflow from initial layout to finished product. The most commonly used Autodesk products will be covered in detail, while customers will also be given an insight into other solutions from which they might benefit but which they may not have previously considered. In the afternoon, the highlight will be four separate breakout sessions covering Autodesk Inventor tips and tricks; simulation and analysis featuring Autodesk® Algor® and Autodesk® Moldflow®, data management incorporating Autodesk Inventor Publisher and Autodesk Vault Pro and industrial design including Autodesk Alias Design.

The event will also feature a small exhibition featuring a range of Autodesk products and related hardware and software solutions from graphics cards to Autodesk Inventor add-ons.
