New Device Programmer is 70% Faster than Its Predecessor
Saelig has introduced the Dataman 48Pro2C - a very fast PC-based universal 48-pin programmer with ISP capabilities and USB 2.0 connectivity. The Dataman 48Pro2C is built to meet the demands of development labs and field engineers for high speed universal programming. Supporting over 70,000 devices, the Dataman 48Pro2C can program without the need for family-specific modules, giving the freedom to choose the optimal device for any given design. Using the built-in, in-system programming connector, the programmer is able to program ISP compatible chips in-circuit.
The Dataman 48Pro2C programmer offers the same advanced features as its predecessor (48Pro+) but with up to 70% faster programming of high-capacity memory devices. FPGA-based, totally reconfigurable TTL pin-drivers provide H/L/pull-up/pull-down and read capability for each pin of the socket. Advanced pin-drivers incorporate high-quality high-speed circuitry to deliver signals without overshoot or ground bounce, operating down to 1.8V to accommodate advanced low-voltage devices. The programmer performs device insertion and contact tests before programming each device. These capabilities, supported by overcurrent protection and signature-byte check, help prevent chip damage due to operator error. The Selftest capability allows diagnostics in the software to verify the correct functioning of the programmer. All the inputs of the Dataman 48Pro2C programmer, including the ZIF socket, connection to PC, and power supply input, are protected against ESD up to 15kV.
Compact (7.7 x 5.5 x 2.2) and lightweight (2lbs), the 48Pro2C programmer will perform programming verification at marginal levels of supply voltage, improving programming yield and guaranteeing long data retention. All known data formats are supported, and automatic file format detection and conversion are performed during file loading. Multiple devices can be programmed and tested from the same PC via a JTAG chain.
The programmer comes with a comprehensive 3 year parts and labor warranty, and is controlled by an easy-to-use control program compatible with the latest operating systems (including Windows 8). The software provides extensive information about programmable devices including detailed drawings of all available packages. With pull-down menus, hot keys, and on-line help, devices are selected by class, by manufacturer, or simply by typing part of the vendor name and/or part number. The software also indicates chip labeling prefixes and suffixes, and allows for in-system programming. The remote control feature allows the software to be flow controlled by another application - either using .BAT file commands or DLL file (C/PAS/VBASIC/.NET).
The Dataman 48Pro2C is available now from Saelig Company, Inc. from $995.00.
