Real time cyber attack protection solutions worldwide
Specialist in testing, inspection and certification services, TÜV Rheinland, has announced the company has entered into a strategic partnership with Obrela Security Industries. Together, they will offer Managed Detection & Response (MDR) cyber security services worldwide. MDR services quickly detect particularly sophisticated cyber attacks and respond to them in real time.
Using the MDR services, Obrela and TÜV Rheinland collect data from a company's IT and OT infrastructure, relate this data to each other and convert it into usable information. Experts are able to use the information provided to help recognise and determine whether cyber attacks are imminent, enabling companies to take defensive measures in real time.
"Our customers limit the potential impact of cyber attacks on their IT systems with such advanced solutions for cyber security," said Wolfgang Kiener, Global Head Advanced Threat Center of Excellence at TÜV Rheinland.
Operational Technology is name given to the computerised systems used control physical assets such as valves, motors and pumps. Its use is prevalent across many industries and sectors including oil and gas, transportation, building management systems, water treatment plants and critical infrastructure.
Experts from TÜV Rheinland have identified Operational Technology as a frontline for cyber attacks.
With this partnership, TÜV Rheinland is strengthening its international range of services in the area of Managed Security Services for the detection of cyber attacks around the clock, in real time. The partnership between TÜV Rheinland and Obrela is off to a strong start, having just won a major customer from the German banking sector.
George Patsis, CEO at Obrela Security Industries, stated: "The many years of experience and know-how of the two companies create the best conditions for long-term and successful cooperation. Our goal is to work with TÜV Rheinland to offer the most advanced cyber security services in the German market and internationally.“
