The latest in hot air technology
Weller Tools is presenting the latest generation of hot air stations, boasting a power of 900W.
The best hot air station on the market
The Weller WTHA 1 hot air station is the first model on the market to have a detailed LC display with self-explanatory user navigation for intuitive operability. The WTHA 1 is currently the best hot air station on the market in its price segment in terms of performance, ease of use and ergonomics. A built-in turbine produces up to 100 litres of hot air, and the new tandem control system with a dual sensor system ensures that this model performs twice as well as its predecessor.
Clear menu structure
The WTHA 1 hot air station is operated using five buttons on the front. A clear menu structure which is easy to navigate allows quick and easy access to all functions.
The menu can be used to predefine up to five presets, allowing air quantity, temperature and time to be individually set and saved. The saved temperature profiles can be linked with each other and implemented successively via the profile mode. This protects the individual components while they are being worked, typically when used in rework processes.
IPC standards are standard
The WTHA 1 meets all of the current IPC standards and is particularly suited to demanding soldering tasks, for instance when a certain gradient has to be complied with in order to avoid damaging the components.
"We focused on user-friendliness, high performance and ergonomics during development," explained Gert Mittmann, R&D Manager.
User-friendliness
The mains switch on the WTHA 1 is fitted to the front of the station, meaning that it is user-friendly and can be accessed conveniently. The handle of the hot air iron has an ergonomic shape and is equipped with a practical finger-operated activation switch. The 90cm long, flexible silicone hose is heat-resistant and has an outlet at the front to provide increased safety at the workplace.
The hot air iron can be positioned in two orientations on the safety support, which can be installed on either side, therefore making the WTHA 1 ideally suited to one-handed soldering tasks too. In additional an interface for an optional foot-operated switch and a heat-resistant silicone pad as a storage option on the station (for tools or nozzles, for example) round off the station's ergonomic features.
All stations in the WL line can be stacked on the WTHA 1 hot air station, therefore saving valuable space at the workplace.
