With a variety of products targeting production, rework, maintenance and hobbyists, Kurtz Ersa North America has introduced the i-CON family of soldering and de-soldering stations. The 80W i-CON PICO and i-CON NANO entry-level stations offer a footprint of only 145x80mm (5.7x3.1"). The i-CON PICO is intended for hobbyists, while the i-CON NANO is suited for industrial use, meeting all criteria for ESD protection.

Both of these 80W soldering station use the ultra-light i-Tool soldering iron, are available with a wide range of soldering tips and can be safely and easily configured using a microSD card.

Powering the 150W i-Tool, the i-CON 1 and i-CON 2 professional industrial soldering stations are operated using a text display and the i-Op control knob. An optional interface for an IR preheating plate or a solder fume extraction unit is available. The i-CON 2 station can also connect to other soldering and de-soldering tools.

Flagships of the family, the i-CON VARIO 2 and i-CON VARIO 4 multichannel soldering and de-soldering stations come equipped with a 200W hot air soldering iron, the i-Tool AIR S. The VARIO 2 supports an additional connectable tool, while three additional soldering and de-soldering tools can be operated on the VARIO 4. Equipped with standard control interfaces to an IR preheating station and a solder fume extraction unit, the VARIO 4 is suitable for professional soldering tasks in development, production, rework and maintenance.
