ZYNX unveils the ZX9210 Computer Blade as ATCA summit
ZNYX today announced that it will showcase the ZNYX ZX9210 compute blade at the Advanced/MicroTCA Summit being held in the Santa Clara Marriott from September 18th–19th. Featuring the highest Intel Architecture CPU performance in an AdvancedTCA blade, the next-generation ZX9210 will be on display in the ZNYX booth (#408).
ZThe ZX9210 combines Intel® server–class technology, the largest memory capacity, and state–of–the–art virtualization capabilities to facilitate highly scalable virtual environments for improved efficiency and lower infrastructure costs. Central to ZNYX's compute blade is the 2nd generation Intel Xeon E5 Family processor, formerly known as Sandy Bridge, which enables the ZX9210 to deliver the highest IA CPU performance in an ATCA blade. With up to 16 processor cores, the ZX9210 supports 512GB Memory for high performance computing and server applications. Available in a 10G configuration, the ZX9210 is the first to offer 16 DIMM sockets for 512GB RAM for demanding applications. The ZX9210 features two SSD mSATA drives, dual USB, video, and Ethernet.
Bundled at no additional fee, OpenArchitect4 provides customers a fully supported, pre–integrated Linux distribution that has been fine–tuned for hosting large numbers of virtual machines. Driver level tuning with the latest Intel technology achieves a new benchmark in packet distribution to VMs.
Critical to telco deployments and demanded by mil/aero device manufacturers, OA4 provides up to five years of stability by limiting code base changes to only security patches. With finite changes affecting the software, the need to re–qualify a release is avoided, thus saving time and money.
Many of today's network edge systems require low–cost, high performance technologies, said Pocheng Shyu, director product management, ZNYX Networks. The ZX9210 offers a pre–integrated environment that helps customers save on costs, while reducing time to market using new IA processors. ATCA enables higher levels of system integration and is on the forefront of transport technologies.
