Alpha Micro Expand M2M Portfolio With xSenso Analogue Device Server
New to the Alpha Micro M2M connectivity portfolio is the xSenso analogue device server, a compact DIN-rail or wall mount device that enables sensors with analogue outputs to transparently send real-time data to any node on the network or over the Internet. Ideal for data acquisition and alarm notification in critical environments, xSenso remotely monitors and logs data from a variety of sensors including temperature, humidity, pressure, level, flow, weight, and gas/air quality transmitters.
A loWith more than 400 million sensors in use worldwide today, there is high demand for a product like xSenso to address the growing device connectivity needs of millions of sensors that possess analogue voltage and current outputs but are not being monitored. There is also a need for process control systems with no conventional communication ports to enable the user to add them to networks. xSenso accomplishes these tasks and more.
“xSenso is a feature-rich solution with a low port density, which allows for affordable installation in dispersed locations,” said Christos Papakyriacou, Managing Director, Alpha Micro Components. “Industries such as process control, instrumentation, and industrial/building automation will all benefit tremendously from this solution.”
xSenso’s key features include two analogue inputs (voltage and/or current); Ethernet port for communication; USB port for configuration; redundant input power; and dynamic web based monitoring, charting and data logging. Also included is email and text message alert notification and 256-bit encryption. It is compatible with leading data acquisition systems including LabVIEW and DASYLab and operates at temperatures ranging from -40° to +85° C.
