PNY unveils its range of SSDs adapted to the needs of consumers and professionals

Focused on both performance and endurance, while utilising SandForce SF2200 controllers and high-speed chips, these SSDs are assembled at PNY’s US facility.



XLR8: Best performance - price ratio for everyday applications



With the PNY XLR8 SSD, consumers at home and at work can make the most of all the advantages of SSD technology without breaking the bank. With transfer rates of up to 500 MB/s and 60,000 IOPS, operating systems and applications load extremely quickly and operate more smoothly. Thanks to the reliability of flash memory used in SSD’s, the drives are also less likely to fail than regular mechanical drives, preventing potentially valuable data from being lost.



Produced with quality components, including the SandForce SF2200 Series controller, the PNY SSD XLR8 provides a level of endurance fit for the whole family, allowing intense usage of up to 15GB per day for five years, where average use is currently estimated at just over 3.5GB / day.



XLR8 Pro and Prevail: for multimedia enthusiasts and fans of high definition



Designed for gamers, photographers and video professionals in need of the highest levels of performance, the PNY XLR8 Pro SSD offers 550 MB/s read and 520 MB/s write speeds, with 85,000 IOPS. The disks are intended for users that require resource-intensive applications or tasks.



Based on the SandForce SF2281 controller, the XLR8 Pro SSD provides SATA III 6 MB/s and integrates high-endurance memory for intensive use over time. It supports TRIM functionality and 128-bit AES encryption.



Designed for use in a professional environment, such as for installation on RAID storage servers or in Cloud Computing environments, the PNY SSD Prevail offers the same levels of performance as the XLR8 Pro, but with professional services: available in different heights for adaptation to all server bays on the market, packaging specific integration or BOM control for all components to ensure maximum compatibility on different systems.
