X2O Media's David Wilkins to Address Content Strategies at 2011 Digital Signage Conference
X2O Media, a full-service provider of software, network management, and content services for professional digital signage applications, today announced that company President and CEO David Wilkins will present Digital Signage Software: Can't Live Without It at the 2011 DisplaySearch Digital Signage Conference in Orlando, Fla. Wilkins will be presenting in Session III: Go-to-Market Strategies, taking place from 1 p.m. to 2:20 p.m.
When developing a digital signage strategy, it's easy to focus solely on the hardware, said Wilkins. Choices such as the type of displays screens and where they'll be located often dominate the conversation. As I will address in my presentation, while such hardware decisions are of the utmost importance, it is the content that will run on displays and the software used to manage that content that will ensure the long-term success of the network.
In Digital Signage Software: Can't Live Without It, Wilkins will discuss how the increased adoption of digital signage across a variety of markets requires cost-effective, easy-to-use software platforms that display the highest quality content to retain viewers. Wilkins will go on to examine the major types of content management systems, as well as explore what constitutes engaging content and cost-effective tools for keeping content fresh and relevant to ensure long-term success of the individual networks and the growth of digital signage as a key marketing and communication medium.
With extensive experience delivering some of the most demanding live television productions for major broadcasters around the world, Wilkins has more than 15 years of hands-on knowledge of video and graphics best practices. Wilkins used this experience to develop X2O Media's award-winning Xpresenter™ digital signage platform, and to establish X2O as a leader in the field of digital signage.
