In line with the increasing adoption of wireless equipment in industrial applications, ORing has launched a series of compact, cost-effective industrial wireless APs (Access Points). The APs aim to reduce cabling costs and enhance the scalability of backbone networks.

The series consists of the IAP-420/420+, for indoor settings, and the IAP-W420+/W422+/W520+/W522+, for outdoors installation. In compliance with IEEE 802.11b/g/n standards, the IAP-420/420+ WLAN APs come with a small form factor to facilitate installation in environments with limited space. Some of the models feature an IP67 casing to provide a higher level of dust and water protection for outdoors usage.

With a wide operating temperature ranging from -10 to +60°C, these models provide two 10/100Base-T(X) Ethernet ports that can be powered over Ethernet cables as they are compliant with IEEE 802.3af PoE standard. The PoE support eliminates the trouble of installing cables in harsh environments. The IAP-420/420+ also supports dual DC power inputs of 12-48VDC, to provide redundant power supply when necessary.

The waterproof models, IAP-W420+, W422+, W520+ and W522+ are equipped with an IP-67 casing and provide a wide operating temperature range of -20 to +70°C.

ORing’s series of wireless APs supports 802.11n MIMO, significantly reducing the interference between different routes and enhancing data rate up to 150/300Mb/s. The devices also support roaming and redundancy, providing faster and more reliable wireless connections.
