VTI Instruments is pleased to announce the release of the CMX34 PXIe/LXI chassis. This combines the horsepower and performance of PXIe with the precision switching capability of VTI’s award winning EX1200 series creating a solution that is uniquely optimized for both instrumentation and switching.
“The CMX34 combines the advantages of the two biggest instrumentation platforms in one product that addresses the limitations of each platform, to create a solution that maximizes the performance of the test system” said Tom Sarfi, Modular Products Manager at VTI Instruments. “When coupled with VTI’s integration services, the CMX34 can be combined with mass interface connectivity options to provide a fully integrated switching and instrumentation subsystem that can be readily dropped in to a test system. The complete assembly is fully tested, documented, verified for interoperability, and can be purchased as a single part number from VTI. We also provide a single point of contact for technical support and maintenance” continued Mr. Sarfi.

“There are several challenges involved in creating a test system: components have to be sourced from multiple vendors, causing operational challenges. There are engineering challenges with regards to the interoperability of different instruments and platforms in the test system. Documentation, long-term support, and maintenance all become challenges in these multi-vendor systems. The integrated CMX34 effectively eliminates these challenges and greatly simplifies the effort involved in system bring up and long-term support” said Rob Harris, Executive VP of Sales.
