Rugged, din-rail embedded PC operates from -40 to +70°C
A rugged, din-rail embedded PC, designed to operate across a wide temperature range of -40 to +70°C, has been released by Axiomtek. The rBOX510-6COM, which is powered by the 1.75GHz Intel Atom dual-core processor E3827, supports 4GB DDR3L onboard system memory.
The fanless device features dual isolated Gigabit LANs, four isolated RS-232/422/485 ports, two RS-232/422/485 ports, one isolated DIO (8-IN/8-OUT) port, front-facing LED indicators, wide range 12- 48VDC power input with terminal block and three full-sized Mini cards for 3G/GPRS/WiFi connections.
Pre-tested for the EN50121-4 standard for railway applications, the embedded PC has passed heavy industrial CE, FCC Part-18 and UL certifications, and environment tests for IEC60068-2-6, IEC60068-2-27 and IEC60068-2-32. The device's onboard processor, memory, RTC battery and SATA SSD support make it suitable for vibration environments, while its isolated RS-232/422/485 ports 10/100/1000Mb/s Ethernet ports and 8-IN/8-OUT DIO port prevent static charging and over-voltage.
The rBOX510-6COM is suitable for use in space concerned, remote, IoT/M2M and harsh environment applications such as power plants, outdoor electricity distribution systems, gas stations, refineries and mine control rooms.
“The Axiomtek rBOX510-6COM is set out to be a comprehensive computing and communication embedded solution and comes with the smart monitoring software package, AXView 2.0, featuring SNMP, MQTT, MODBUS, SNMP Trap, Email support for industrial secured IoT management. This intelligent din-rail robust embedded system is suitable for both indoor and outdoor industrial applications such as power plant automation, facility monitoring systems, intelligent transportation systems and much more, bringing unlimited business opportunities,” said Maxineh Hsieh, Product Manager, Product Marketing Division, Axiomtek.
The rBOX510-6COM will be available from the end of February 2015.
